This is a fantastic example of a very scare gemstone ring! The stunning 3/4 carat vibrant red really pops against the white gold ring! Spinel is a lesser known gemstone with fascinating history. Until quite recently spinel was regularly mistake for ruby. Even some royal "crown jewels" that were long thought to be ruby ended up being spinel! Adding to the already impressive history of this piece is the fact the that the spinel is of the very desirable "Burma" origin. Although we always do our best to capture our pieces in their best light we simply cannot match the vibrant red of this sparkling gem in person! The ring is crafted in white gold and accents the vibrant center with an old mine cut diamond on each side and a cluster of three antique single cut diamonds around those leading down to a simple etched pattern down the shoulders. This piece is in great condition considering the age and would make an excellent addition to any antique jewelry lover's collection.
